Lots of boys are making the 200 back their "form" stroke, so there may be some big changes in the BAGCAT tables from the last boys event.

Posted by Mike Lambert on 04 Jul 2010 at 12:29

3 seems to be performing much more reliably than Vodafone. I have a pretty turquise light on my data card .. which is a good sign.

Posted by Mike Lambert on 04 Jul 2010 at 12:26

Apologies for the lack of live results .. we had a relatively serious computer problem, which meant a complete reconfiguration of the meet management system .. while the swimming continued!

Posted by Mike Lambert on 03 Jul 2010 at 15:18

Heats list for session 6 is now available.

Posted by Mike Lambert on 03 Jul 2010 at 14:33

We are running a few minutes later than I expected. I had to reboot one of the computers.  This session should finish just after 2pm. A long session for officials.

Posted by Mike Lambert on 03 Jul 2010 at 12:31

Now into the 50m sprints, so should get through page 4 of the heats list quite quickly.

Posted by Mike Lambert on 03 Jul 2010 at 11:34

Getting ready for the second weekend of the Development Competition. Unfortunately, there is no distraction this weekend from a British team in the World Cup or a British player at Wimbledon. Based on entry times, some of the BAGCAT competitions look as if they will be very close.

Posted by Mike Lambert on 28 Jun 2010 at 12:00

Photos from the presentations on Sunday 27th June are now available.

Posted by Mike Lambert on 27 Jun 2010 at 22:10

BGCAT Table .. Yes I can add the clubs and positions. Hopefully before next weekend.

Certificates. We had one or two printer jams when we were printing certificates. Send an e-mail to me before next weekend if you have any missing and I will reprint them. DON'T just come to me next weekend, I will not be able to do anything then.

Comment by Pippa Anderson on 27 Jun 2010 at 21:01

Hi Chris, once again great coverage of the Development competition. I just wondered if it might be possible to have the swimmers Clubs in the table of final BAGCAT positions ? Thank you -

Posted by Chris Lambert on 27 Jun 2010 at 16:25

That brings us to the end of the first weekend of the competition.  Full Results, Results by Club and BAGCAT Results are available.

Some of us will see you next weekend back at Waterlooville for the remaining age groups in this year's Development Competition.

The Girls 100m Backstroke brings Izabella Blacklock to second in the Girls Age 12 BAGCATs with one event to swim.

Posted by Chris Lambert on 27 Jun 2010 at 15:09

Eddie Thomas moves to the top of the Boys Age 12 BAGCATs after the 50m Freestyle.  In the Age 10 Vincent Ryan goes one point ahead of Finlay Evans to take 2nd place.

Posted by Chris Lambert on 27 Jun 2010 at 14:56

If you're wondering why we had "Heat 11 of 10" it's because we had to split a heat to accomodate a swimmer who was missed by the officials.

Posted by Chris Lambert on 27 Jun 2010 at 14:32

We're off to a quick start this afternoon with the Girls 50m Breaststroke followed by Boys 50m Freestyle.  Then the events gradually get longer to finish with 200m Backstroke.

Comment by Christopher White on 16 Jun 2010 at 12:04

Hants Development Meet 2010 Hi You have entered the date of birth wrong for one of my swimmers Bethany Clark Southampton Dolphins. You Have her D.O.B. as 7/1/99 but it's 7/1/97. Please could you change. regards Chris White Southampton Dolphins

** EVEN MORE IMPORTANT NOTE **. The competition conditions do not specify that entry times must be short course (that is the intent and will be explicit for 2011).

As long as times recorded long course or short course are not faster than the limit time, a swimmer is elibible to complete on that stroke.

Please ignore the previous "IMPORTANT NOTE".

Posted by Mike Lambert on 12 Jun 2010 at 12:19

** IMPORTANT NOTE **. Swimmers who have recorded a long course time that, when converted, is faster than the limit time for this competition, are NOT ELIGIBLE to compete.
If you did not realise this, please check the times of your swimmers.

If you withdraw swims for this reason by Friday 18th June, we will refund entry fees.

If after this date, WE discover times that are too fast, the entry will be declared ineligible and fees will not be refunded.

Posted by Mike Lambert on 10 Jun 2010 at 14:51

A number of entries have been rejected because the times entered are faster the published limit times. These are shown as Rejected on the list of entries.

The entries have not yet been validated against ASA registrations or rankings. This exercise may result in additional rejections.

Entries have now closed. I hope to have a preliminary list of accepted entries by later today (Thursday).
