British Swimming Swim Suit Rules

From 1st January 2010 all competitions in England, Scotland and Wales will be applying the FINA rules in relation to Swimsuits for swimming, Masters and Open Water competitions.
Hampshire Claim Victory at British Gas ASA National County Team Championships

Hampshire have taken victory in Division 2 of the British Gas ASA National County Team Championships held in Sheffield this afternoon.
The team scored 483 points to claim first place ahead of Worcester with 439 points and Devon with 434 points.
The result will see Hampshire move back to Division 1 of the Championships for 2010.
Well done to all members of the team.
Spofforth Shortlisted for Prestiguous Award

Nominations have been announced for The Sunday Times Sportswomen of the Year Awards 2009 and World Champion Gemma Spofforth has been shortlisted for the prestigious awards.
Portsmouth Northsea Seek Head Coach for Beacon Programme

Portsmouth Northsea Swimming Club has recently been selected by the ASA for Beacon Programme status. As a result of this exciting opportunity we are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, organised, highly motivated and committed Head Coach who is qualified to the highest standards in the sport to manage and lead the implementation and delivery of the ASA South East Region Beacon Programme alongside the duties of Club Head Coach.

HCASA is sad to report that Betty Butterfield, Past President of the Association passed away on 31st March, aged 90. Betty, a representative of Portsmouth Schools SA, was President in 1969.
The family have requested a private funeral. Any donations in Betty's memory to the RNLI, or Alzheimers Association, Trafalgar Place, Portsmouth.
Officials Required for County Championships

The County is seeking registered officials to volunteer for the County Championships. The Championships will be held over three weekends:
- 14th/15th Mar at Southampton
